I love the feeling of starting a new school year. The student's faces are bright, their clothes and shoes are new, and the smell of freshly sharpened pencils fills the classrooms.
Everyone,whether formally or not, sets goals for themselves. It would seem that those who put their goals in writing are more likely to see them completed.
My personal goal within Globaloria for this school year, is to teach students how to use reflective writing to further expand their own learning. I hope to use the talks pages and discussion pages within the platform, as well as the blogs they have established.

ReplyDeleteI love your ideas for reflection. As you've probably guessed, I'm a big fan of this. My goal is to have my students really embrace showing, sharing, and celebrating the "work-in-progress" rather that trying to stay isolated and secretive until the very end.
